Welcome to your local Cats Protection! Cats Protections only Nottingham Centre.
It has come to our attention that some individuals are claiming to re-home cats for Cats Protection
Nottingham Branch. Some claim to pass on your donation to Cats Protection, others claim to have an agreement to have cats that they have received a donation for neutered by Cats Protection. This is not the case. Our Adoption Centre on New Farm Lane, Nuthall, is the only Cats Protection centre in
Nottingham. Please don't be misled this is deliberate deception.
Cats Protection is Britain's oldest charity solely for the welfare of cats and the Nottingham Branch Adoption Centre is run by paid staff and volunteers. Nottingham Branch was founded in the 1970s, and currently we have around 450 members, a figure which is growing all the time.
Cats Protection has three main objectives:
To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens, rehabilitate and rehome them where possible.
To encourage the neutering of cats not required for breeding.
To inform the public on the care of cats and kittens.
Every year, this Adoption Centre alone helps hundreds of needy cats. We can only do that with your help!
We also run a neutering scheme every year to help owners who cannot afford the cost of the operation. This work is vital, as an unspayed female cat can be responsible for 20,000 descendants in just five years!
Please browse our website to find out more of what we do, the cats that are currently looking for homes, and ways that you can help us to help even more needy cats.
